You have to roll 1386 times to have a 50% chance of getting an Anubis...assuming the chances are 1/2000. That means rolling 207k gems only gives you a 50% chance...yikes.
It's all a game of chance. So, someone might get it on the 1st roll, while others may take 10, 100 or maybe even 1000. It's luck! So just have fun with it and while it might get frustrating at times, remember! It's only a game. Enjoy it!
1) we don't know the exact ratios of chances.
2) IGG will not reveal this nor the so called system they use to generate them chances.
3) as example only: playing cards in Casinos you can pretty much work out your chances as it is dealt in front of you.
4) there's many possibilities also but let's not speculate, how these chances are generated or maybe done manually.

While 1/2000 odds of rolling Anubis is hypothetical, the math is correct: (1999/2000)^X = 0.5; X=1386. In other words if many players were to roll just above 207k gems, half of them would be getting the hero when the odds are set at 1/2000
That's not too bad.... I Don't get my hopes up when I'm rolling. Although, in the last week, rolled a few heroes that I didn't have since I've been away from the game. Did a 150 quest roll and got Lady Leo the other night.
