[Discussion] 7seas and SK guildhopping

Also... for those who doesn't know, 7seas was the first guild to release MIGHT cap... we release MIGHT cap before started jumping... we got hit hard... we lost many wars having 3-5fail on us and other guilds placing ahead with 15-20fails on our bases... every top guild had its chance to take a huge advantage against us while we were standing on top uncaped, even this other newest jumping guild that started jumping without try anything before doing it... we tried, we talked to support, we talked to other top guilds... but at the end it was our best option... been away from all public chats and forums for a long time to prevent this kind of s**t... sorry if I my words wasn't the best, sorry about jumping, and maybe u can go complain IGG about our move... that way maybe u can help us fixing this screwed pointing system...

CastleYork, those are our last 20 wars prior to SK jumping and with serious might restrictions in place.  I assume you can count.

We want CCers to know that the decision to jump wasn't made lightly precisely because the issue about guilds being trampled came up.  Many of us disagreed with the option but as things stand, guilds that don't have a might cap are heavily penalized.  It got to an untenable situation for us where people who spent thousands of dollars on their accounts were artificially tied down and they wanted to explore the full potential of their accounts.  So rather than letting go of long term members, many of whom had been with us for 2-3 years, we bit the bullet and chose the jumping option.  DiepeAnus rightly expresses frustration.  After all, SK is a guild that competes and wins at the highest levels of the game.  While we do worry about the game at large, we had a choice to make and we chose the wellbeing of our members.  That is what any good guild would do.  I would like to reiterate that given the choice, we would MUCH rather stay in one guild.  But until IGG developers resolve this penalization issue, we aren't left with much choice.

The whole discussion sounds a little bit funny to me.

A lot of guys argue about SK not capable of beating another guild as if guild war has anything to do with skill.

The main reason we have these discussions is that IGG has turned this game in a one resource game. It is all about fame and gw gives way too much of it compared to other modes.
I am quite sure if IGG replaced the fame with another resource probably most players would not even waste their time on gw.

The game mode has unlimited tries, half the server is cheating by using airplane mode. Aside from the new update almost everyone in the top guilds has every hero maxxed. So getting 3 flames is not very hard.

In this game mode it is all about math not actually playing the game. SK told us this by forcing the might cap by all means. You cannot win a game mode were 75 players battle each other and one side gets by game design 100+ points more for every player.

Aside from that we had some enjoyable and close guild wars vs SK, where we lost and won. But these wars were the exception cause at that time we had roughly the same high might values. So outcome was decided by the number of fails on each side. Under these circumstances it is a real war decided by game play (and sometimes the lucky disconnect from one side).

We played for a while with might cap and it sucks. You start loosing interest in the game.
Blue crystals? Cannot use them, inscription raises might
Books? Cannot use them, levels raise might
A new hero? I would love to use him/her, but who to sacrifice for?
You permantly develop your account while keeping this number under control, which has basically nothing to do with the game, but decides the scores in gw.

Guild hopping is no fun but IGG seems to be unwilling to fix the damn scoring of this game mode. Might in CC was always an artificial number, that made you get more rewards. GW changed this, now you need to keep it low, which is no fun.

True some of the smaller guilds now get robbed of their normal first place, but on the other side they get so much higher scores cause of the high might.

Sadly this is another thing that's been exploited by many as well as being victimised/victims.

Because of the broken system, high might players are "punished" if they attack lower might players

So a couple smart people who always wanted to win, came up with the idea to keep might limit.
Always keep your might lower then your opponent, then you end up with more points ( see video )

And as answer on this might lock, now higher guild with high might members are hopping there guilds. just to avoid fighting guilds with might locks.

good for this guilds that they avoid 1,2 or maybe 5 guilds with might lock.

only they don't care for the rest of the world, that are way lower in might!

DUTCH also had 7Seas in GW, ofcourse they won bigtime and DUTCH had many members with personal gw records, still we ended 5e.

It is smart for top 10 guild, it is bad for top 10 - 50 guild, that is the point were DiepeAnus is talking about!

7Seas, SK, etc keep up the good work, but don't forget, by this way you always fight against much lower guild (easy win) and for them it is not fair.

The best fix is that IGG changes the guildwar point system as MGO explanes in his vid.

At the end of the day, both guilds know that it sucks for every other guild but theirs. It bothers them quite a bit, but not enough to do anything about it. They care more about their members than the rest of the players. Right or wrong, it is what it is, and there's really not much we can do about it.

 The important thing is to not let a disagreement over game mechanics affect your opinion of, or treatment of, the individuals in the guilds. Both have some outstanding human beings in them. At the end of the day, it's only a game. So let's be kind to one another and try not to sling the insults, on either side.

As a 70th ranked guild we regularly get hit with top 20/30 ranked guilds with 50% more might and 10/15 more members. IGG confirmed that's within expected matchings. It happens. If you can be bothered with the hassle of guild hopping, why not make use of the rules imposed by the scoring and matching system?

Let's stop pretending the hoppers are victims of any kind. They (the hoppers) implemented a strategy to maximize fame production from guild wars via a loophole in the system. Is that their fault? No. Do they really care about other guilds? No and please don't pretend you do. But should this be addressed by developers as many lower guilds are now facing ones they shouldn't be facing? Probably before the situation gets way out of hand.
